What’s in a name?

VRAI [“vrè” in French]adjective

  1. True, genuine, authentic
  2. Being in accordance with the actual state or conditions

When we chose our company’s name, we wanted something special – word(s) that would describe our core belief in creating honest, meaningful connections.

Genuine connection icon with outline of two faces

We also wanted our name to reflect what we promise to provide our clients: authentic, culturally sensitive mental health counselling services.

Positive change icon with growing plant

By naming ourselves “VRAI,” we were able to achieve both. The meaningful word helps embody our mission to foster positive change and growth by honouring true connections – and also gives a nod to our unique makeup of bilingual personal therapists.

VRAI was born out of the recognition of a significant conflict in the mental health marketplace. We observed a lack of accessible and inclusive mental health support that truly addresses the diverse needs of individuals seeking help. We saw the need for a solution that goes beyond traditional psychotherapy approaches and embraces the uniqueness of each person’s journey. At VRAI, we are here to solve this problem by offering personalized and culturally sensitive therapy that promotes true well-being.
